The Rebel is a second label or a cousin (if that makes more sense) of the Scarborough Family Wines. With all of these expensive wines out there, and the inexpensive wines tasting like cheap cologne mixed with red dye #2, something had to be done. Ergo, welcome Rebel Wines. Rebel History: The Rebel was conceived in 2008, when Washington wine was becoming more and more expensive. The question was asked, "Why aren't there enough affordable wines from our own state?" The Rebel answers these questions. With the amount of grapes grown in this state, we should be able to find good grapes for good prices and then instead of oaking the wine to death, let's use mainly neutral barrels-like they do in many places in Europe! The result: A great wine for a great price. Unfined and unfiltered.
