Product Description
The Cabernet Franc vines grow in Finley silt loam on a gentle (2--5%) slope. The very deep, well drained soils lie on a terrace or fan formed in old alluvium. The surface layer of brown silt loam is mixed with rocky, very gravelly sub soil. Permeability is moderately rapid above the substratrum and very rapid through it. So vine vigor is low, as are yields. A section of the Cabernet Franc vines is designated for the Rosé and managed accordingly.
